The group is again trying to carry out new missions and unexpected risks, landing in an unknown area to search for survivors in that area. Meanwhile, Morgan and Alicia face a new phase of challenges where they meet a survivor who has suddenly found him. Over time, the group is struggling to achieve more schemes they are trying to do again.

The writing is on point, the action is exciting and the dialogue is meaningful. I just wish the writers could do that throughout the season.

The show is in a horrible place right now, and there's seemingly no way out. It needs to pick a lane and stick with it while also getting rid of the characters that don't mesh well with the others.

For all the walker-killing action in "Still Standing," there's only a moment near the end that held any sort of genuine suspense.

The episode ended with one character resigned to their impending demise. And if it turns out that they are, in fact, doomed: we all riot at dawn.

Getting a mouthful of blood might be a death sentence for the last remaining Clark. Hopefully it isn't. Fear the Walking Dead will not survive killing off the last character remaining from the pilot.

I think Alycia Debnam-Carey should move on to bigger and better things, because Fear is a bad joke at this point, but if she is killed off well... what even is the point?

What happens at the end of this week's Fear the Walking Dead better just be building tension... Otherwise, AMC might as well just shoot the show where it stands.

Alicia's days on Fear the Walking Dead are even more numbered than they appeared to be before the episode aired. Though for what it's worth, we're obviously not sure just how large or small that number could be.

The character work is overall still strong, but "Still Standing" may as well be a billboard that says "we're gonna kill someone off and it's gonna be a gut punch."

Fear the Walking Dead has fallen into this weird place this season where too many of the main characters have taken on a new role as motivational speakers in between killing walkers.
