Arrow - Season 3 Episode 15: Nanda Parbat
Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen – not as long as the city needs The Arrow. In Season Three, Oliver faces an even greater threat, when another lethal face emerges from his dark and tortured past – Ra’s Al Ghul!

Katie Cassidy's delivery of those lines was gut-wrenching and, for once, understated.

There are admittedly some clunky, unintentionally funny moments on the way to that point... but "Nanda Parbat" offers a long overdue affirmation of why it's more than happenstance that makes Diggle Oliver's longest-tenured partner.

"Nanda Parbat" takes a while to kick into gear. The bulk of this episode reminds you that the show has an overload of characters just now, many of them serving exactly the same dramatic function.

This week, "Arrow" is a tale of two episodes, as the first two acts are filled with forced conflict and clumsy soap operatic elements while the third sends the show spinning in new and exciting directions.
