All too quickly, the show falls into stereotypes...but the intended irony may not be clear, especially to young viewers.

The season premiere is a bit too scattered and crazy to really showcase what's lovely about New Christine. But the strength of Louis-Dreyfuss and Sykes comes through loud and clear.
