Season 5 opens with now employed as a CIA asset, Michael traveling to Caracas with Sam and Fi to find the man who burned him. While the CIA assigns Michael to babysit a scientist, Jesse asks him for help in bringing a group of Yakuza human traffickers to justice.

It's not quite a standard-issue Burn Notice episode, in that there's no client or side-case, and there is some added tension between Michael and his Miami pals now that he's presumably back in the fold, but it's close enough for government work.
