The wedding bells are ringing, but will Castle and Beckett really tie the knot? In season 6, as Castle was driving to his much-anticipated nuptials, an ominous black SUV came down on him. Season 7 will pick-up at the scene of that accident, right where the finale left off, in a premiere that promises to put Beckett through the toughest case of her career.

The writers have emotionally retconned the romance at the heart of the show in order to make us wait who knows how long for another chance to see these two married off, and they do it in a way that makes literally no sense.

It doesn't so much fix the woes of the season 6 finale, but it does put it into an entirely new context. It's intense and intriguing.
