Season five of the action and crime series Person of Interest following the former killer and that wealthy programmer who save many lives by going in missions with the help of AI. In the opening of this season we see Lionel investigates in a mysterious murder of Dominic. Meanwhile, Mr. Reese and Harold are in a hard mission as they have to save The Machine. Among all this chaos, Root is still runaway.

Person of Interest remains a strong series for CBS, and while it seems more like the network is trying to burn these last 13 episodes off, the show is still deserving of the chance to wrap its story up the way it sees fit.

Mr. Emerson has to play a number of very emotional scenes with a computer monitor, carrying on passionate conversations with the blinking cursor. Not one moment of this will tempt you to laugh (in fact, you might have to blink back a tear).

Michael Emerson is so good. Yes, we all know this. But what would this show be without him, basically, acting opposite no one - a screen - and giving us such emotional moments?
