Set in New York City, this procedural centers on an ex-CIA agent, presumed dead, who partners with a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes. Using data siphoned off the U.S. intelligence agencies’ threat matrix deemed irrelevant to national security, information concerning not terrorism, but violent crimes of a personal nature, the unpredictable former agent Reese and his enigmatic partner, Finch, identify a “person of interest” and set about solving the mystery of the impending crime that person will be involved in.

It would be nice to see some character add a little humor, pizazz, and lighthearted spirit to the show in order to contrast Reese and Finch's dark and shadowy selves.

Generally I'm not a huge fan of procedural dramas but my pick of the new crop of shows would have to be CBS's espionage thriller Person of Interest.
