Code Black takes place in an overcrowded and understaffed emergency room in Los Angeles, California, and is based on a documentary by Ryan McGarry. Doctors and nurses fight to save lives in the country's busiest ER. The staff of the LA County Hospital emergency room treat patients under difficult circumstances.
