Black Lightning is one of only a few shows on The CW that actually treats its teenaged characters like teenagers. This is why an episode that centers around Khalil and Jennifer running away together is so necessarily chaotic.

After this hour, I take back what I said about Jennifer growing up and making clear decisions. Nothing about her running away with Khalil was level-headed or reasonable.
