Sometimes one guest star can make or break an episode. Colin Donnell's surprise return to Arrow definitely worked out in the show's favor this week.May 14, 2019
While this wasn't the episode I hoped it would be considering we're heading into a massive season finale, I did enjoy the return of Tommy Merlyn.May 14, 2019
While I'm not sure if I connected emotionally to the lesson Oliver learned in tonight's episode, I was definitely moved by Colin Donnell's presence.May 14, 2019
A relatively solid Arrow... While there's plenty of action to consider, it's the character moments that immediately stand at the forefront, temporarily distracting from the many questions about the overarching plot.May 14, 2019
Most of Oliver's story follows him trying to blow a way out of the building, but it serves up a simple but effective metaphor of how Oliver is trying to face the problem at its core.May 14, 2019
Hello, emotional gut-punch of an episode! Arrow's penultimate snuck up on us, but it didn't let us forget that we're in finale territory once things kick off.May 14, 2019
The best fight sequence turned out not to be real, and most of the moments that should have been suspenseful have already been covered one way or the other by flashforwards, lowering the emotional stakes dramatically.
