Cult continued with Kai's boring endgame misogyny, and turned everything into a screaming showdown between him and Ally as they verbally volleyed tired memes and platitudes, undercutting some of the more interesting ideas that the season began with.

I have to applaud Ryan Murphy and the writers for creating a deeply complicated and unpredictable character like Ally.

The season finale of American Horror Story: Cult was underwhelming. It was supremely predictable, and frankly, didn't have a lot of action. And in the end, nothing was really "solved."
