Hot Shots! Part Deux
The story tells the story of a pilot who will be on a new mission and perhaps a difficult task. That story began with Tobley Harley being an apostate pilot with a chance to return and get a new mission in the Middle East. Harley may try to do the job for a new achievement, as he has been able to pass many difficult tests to save American hostages.

Brilliant spoof. Right on target with Rambo III, No Way Out, Basic Instinct, and more. All clever gags.

There are many instances when the film is too obvious in its attempts at humor.

Pretty funny, but too much forced zaniness, jokes upon jokes, many tasteless.

This is a long way from the inspirations of Airplane!

One of the pleasures of watching a spoof like this is to spot the references; it's like a quiz on pop art.

Is nothing sacred to the makers of Hot Shots! Part Deux? Nope. Not a thing.
February 09, 2006
Unlike its grim predecessor, there are at least two chuckles this time round.
