Romina was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she began her artistic career as a classical dancer. At the early age of 15, she moved to NYC by herself to continue her studies at the School of American Ballet and The Juilliard School, later following with Meisner acting training at the William Esper Studio during which she began to be featured in films, TV series, music videos and commercials.Inspired by her mother -a successful Argentinean director & singer, and her father -an award-winning photographer, Romina developed a passion for visual storytelling at an early age.In 2014, she directed a 1 min micro-short/ spec ad called How a Man Gets Ready (which she also wrote, produced & starred in), through which she was selected as one of the top emerging directors of the year at Shoot Magazine's 12th Annual New Directors Showcase held at NYC's Directors Guild of America Theater and sponsored by the DGA.Romina followed by writing, directing and producing Bad Connections (another 1 min micro-short film/ spec ad).Both pieces have gone on to screen at numerous venues worldwide, including Hollywood's TCL Chinese Theater and Toronto's Carlton Cinemas, and have received multiple awards and nominations.Romina still resides in NYC where she recently completed her first short film, The Visit: A 12 min psychological drama starring Academy Award Nominee June Squibb (Nebraska) and Sean Maher (Firefly). The film premiered at the Burbank International Film Festival where it was awarded Best Short Film by a Woman and is currently (05/2017) doing the festival circuit, having already received additional awards and nominations.Romina is now in pre-production for her first feature film to be shot in Argentina Aug of 2017.
