Boardwalk Empire - Season 4
In the fourth season, the events seem more exciting and fun, as Knox is brutally arrested and the rich Eddie, Nike pulls any strings he needs to get his nephew out of the hook, and Gillian becomes very addicted. On the other hand, with new partner Meyer Lansky for his Tampa operation, Nucky recovers himself with Sally Wheat, Eddie's death causes Knox to fall with Hoover, and Sagorsky gets a dark diagnosis.

This might be Boardwalk Empire at its peak, but its peak remains much lower than other shows of its ilk. It's an 'A' season from a 'B+' show.

The moral dimension is missing from nearly all of Boardwalk Empire's characters, who murder and maim, if somewhat discriminately.

A Nucky scene will always be a good scene. The same could be said for a new season of Boardwalk Empire.
