After four months from the Wentworth fire, finally the women get back to Wentworth after the prison was rebuilt, The new governor now is Vera and Will is helping her as her deputy . A chain of dramatic events follow up , Bea struggles to find reasons to stay alive , her position as Top Dog will force her to make some difficult decisions . Ferguson returns back but this time as prisoner until her trial, she will make anything to make her plan succeed . Kaz plans to become the prison Top Dog and establish her power base. Maxine's life will be In dangerous situation . Bridget and Franky relationship will be discovered and will cause them many difficulties.

While I can't speak of what's gone before, this season four opener was an absolute belter, featuring a cast of fabulously strong, variably humane female characters.

It's an exhausting watch, but it's certainly an eye-opener and it leaves an effect on the viewer long after the sombre musical number at the end of each heavy episode.
