The show has returned with its third season which shows Charlie babysitting an insufferable Jake for the weekend after Alan fell down from the roof. Alan is trying hard to convince the principal not to get Jake expelled whereas Charlie is left to supervise chiropractic office for a day.

Now in its third season, Two and a Half Men is an unambitiously slump-shouldered show that nonetheless is so well put together it can tower above a frisky little sea monkey of a sitcom like Arrested Development.

It's certainly got some sitcom pedigree behind it. Also, the cast is on the whole very strong and it's far from being just the Charlie Sheen show.
