Season 5 opens with Dr. Venture hiring Billy Quizboy, Pete White, and several dozen college interns to work on the Palaemon Project, an ionic ray shield for J.J.'s Gargantua-2. Venture must also deal with Dean's new 'emo' persona, which changes when he meets intern Thalia.
