Following the struggle of a young man, Phil Mayer, who suffers from loneliness after the disastrous virus that causes havoc and leads humanity to death, so he lives alone, and hopes to find other people to share his life with, but incidents come to climax, when he finds other survivors, with whom he lives.

There are a few ok moments in the premiere and surely some great ones to come (last season's "Falling Slowly" duet was among the show's best), and for the Last Man faithful that may be enough.

It's become comfortable and placid in a few storylines, but overall, the season 3 premiere of The Last Man on Earth retains the show's sharp, belly-laugh humor and suggests a wild season is coming down the line.
