It is a long series of comical and terrifying events at the same time by the Adams family. This is the family that is doing things that ordinary people might be horrified to see. The series begins with Gomez Adams and his wife who indulge in seemingly controversial actions. Gomez Adam and his wife Mortesia practice planting poisonous plants or going to the tombs at night or doing an act that astounds many ordinary people.

This throwback black and white series is a total hoot-as long as you don't believe it when it calls itself a family show. The show is relatively harmless-but its humor can be pretty dark
