Review - Season 2
The network initially ordered eight episodes for the first season run, but so much extra content was left over that a ninth episode was made and aired, too. Review stars Andy Daly as critic Forrest MacNeil, who does not review boring things like films, food or art. Instead, Forrest reviews the most intense experiences of life itself -- by living them. From the dangers of drug addiction to the joys of sleeping with a celebrity, Forrest fully commits to showing us what life feels like, sometimes at the expense of his family and humanity in general.

The beauty of Review is in how it takes small, strange ideas (like Forrest investigating public restroom "glory holes") and strings them together into a larger story about how the pundit suffers for his art.

It's refreshing when a show breaks all the molds. One of the best at doing so recently has been Comedy Central's Review.

What Review really teaches us about life is that it's about the accumulation of events, and no one experience can be isolated from all the others

After the maelstrom of the first season, the prospect of greater woes awaiting Forrest is hard to imagine... for about four minutes.

Review checks off nearly every box that makes a TV comedy take off in 2015 - or, at least, that makes one a full-fledged cult hit on the Internet.

Because of the ease with which the show doles out its laughs and its punishment, it's hard to talk about Review without gushing.
July 30, 2015
Review is not a nice show. Its brand of humor is cynical, nihilist, and not above being cruel; this is a comedy about the foibles of human existence, so when it lands, it hurts.

Comedy Central is hot like a Georgia biscuit (is that a thing?) right now, with several series pushing the art of humor-deliverance to new highs. One such program is Review.

Review Season 2 gives plenty of evidence to suggest that the best days of the show, and the worst experiences for Forrest MacNeil, are still ahead.
