Primeval - Season 1
The drama follows a thrilling series where evolutionary biology professor Nick Cutter did not acknowledge the disappearance of his wife, Helen, eight years ago. It is in his mind when he goes to Dean Forest with his friends Stephen Hart and Connor Temple (an archeology student and stray conspiracy theory) to investigate some reports about a large animal there.

Dinosaurs can stomp and giant spiders sting, and Stephen can look like Zac Efron's older brother, but if everyone on the screen is acting like it's all just an unfortunate situation to be dealt with, well, then, so will we.

Primeval mixes elements of Jurassic Park and Stargate, rarely taking itself seriously while also warning of the consequences of not confronting these threats to mankind.
