Orphan Black - Season 4 Episode 08: The Redesign of Natural Objects
It's back to basics for the cult show as the fourth season kicks off in lean, fresh and easier-to-follow fashion. Season 4 opens with Sarah's hard-won refuge in Iceland getting shattered by a Neolution attack...

What surprised me even more was that for a moment there, I did think Alison might betray Sarah to help Donnie. Should've known she'd pick sestras over mestras.

For a split second during Orphan Black Season 4 Episode 8, I thought Alison might have turned on her sisters. I'm sorry I ever doubted that craft goddess soccer mom.

Not only do we get reminded that the sisterhood will always take priority, we see a really courageous side of Alison, the clone least likely to be taken seriously.

After the hell the sestras went through in the last two episodes, Episode 8 served as a transitional installment in order to put the characters back on track towards finding a cure and taking down Evie Cho.

"The Redesign of Natural Objects" can't be discussed without acknowledging the brilliant Jesus Christ Superstar number that scores some of the more crucial moments of the episode.

The use of Alison's Superstar production is nothing less than inspired. It's entirely fitting that Alison play Judas in her darkest, most doubtful hour, and the lines of her song are so perfectly aligned with the clones' plight at this moment.

Yeah, there's some crazy, over-our-head science with a power struggle. But watching the Ledas and Co. triumph as their bonds are tested is what makes this sci-fi drama so great. Oh, and #feminism.

Welp, they can't all be winners. I make no secret of the fact that I love this show, but some episodes do come across as totally clunky.
