Nightflyers - Season 1
We live in a series of events that take us to the world of adventure and scientific imagination during that dreadful series. The series tells of a great team of scientists who decided to join Nightflyer in order to communicate with exotic life that reflects cosmic adventures and exciting events. The science fiction series opens with D'Branin, who discovers an ancient mystery of the past about Agatha, and this mystery may change many events. On the other hand, D'Branin is investigating the source of the sudden breakdown.

The desire to catch lightning in a bottle in the way that "Thrones" did is certainly understandable... but "Nightflyers" merely reinforces that such alchemy is exceedingly rare... the new series is at best a pallid pretender.

Nightflyers is propulsive enough, ginning up fear and terror even as it relies on hoariness... But space, in its infinite capacity, can give us more.

But Nightflyers lacks that film's sci-fi/horror gravitas; it's murky at best, both in its storyline and its character development, and grinds along at a snail's pace trying to construct its elaborate scenario.

Think of it as a kindred spirit to Alien and Event Horizon, with a dash of Cronenberg and the Wachowskis thrown into the mix-albeit quite a bit crazier than those illustrious genre brethren.

Over five episodes sent to critics, Nightflyers layers in the creepiness, without rising above "unsettling" into "scary." Even if attempted jump-cut scares never sink in, Nightflyers sometimes replaces frights with low-level gross-out moments.

Nightflyers quickly pivots from an intriguing foray into hard sci-fi to a confounding slog through the most boring blackness of space.
November 30, 2018
A grisly hybrid of science fiction and horror, capable of claustrophobic chills but more often merely evoking chaotic confusion.

Despite the overt sexualization of the leading female characters, there is a lot of compelling subtext. What is perception? What is truth? How objective are our memories and how much do they define us as people and as a species?

Simply having Martin's name in the opening credits isn't enough to make it worth tuning in.

The way Syfy has chosen to air ['Nightflyers'] is one of the very few interesting aspects of this high-budget misfire.
