Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Season 2
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns with second season. Agent Phil Coulson was appointed as Director and tasked with rebuilding the agency. Coulson and his team are now wanted fugitives with limited resources, but that';;;;;;s not stopping them from keeping the world safe from powerful and unseen threats everywhere. Director Phil Coulson will also be joined by Agent Melinda May, martial artist and longtime friend, and computer hacker Skye. Agent Leo Fitz, brilliant engineer, and Agent Jemma Simmons, genius bio-chemist, are dealing with the impacts of their near-death experience at the hands of Grant Ward, a highly trained agent in combat and espionage. Also joining Coulson';;;;;;s core team is Lance Hunter, a dashing mercenary sharp shooter with a quick wit.

We've got a long season to go, but this kick-off certainly looks to pick up on the momentum from the back half of the first season.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has gone from a crushing disappointment to a geeky delight, a show that positively glows with love for both its source material and the creative restrictions necessitated by being a tiny part of a much larger world.

While there's still something a little small scale and unambitiously "TV" about the show as times (too many talky scenes in grey offices and shooty scenes in dull warehouses) at other moments it strikes the comic book action vibe perfectly.
