The first season set a very high bar of success to meet, but I really think this well oiled machine can do it, even with the presence of the new DDA.

Try not to roll your eyes too much at the opening scene of TNT's disappointing The Closer spin-off Major Crimes, which trots out the old cliché of an amateur ride-along with the seasoned LAPD crime squad.
