The historical series follows the life of the Finnish diplomat Tapani Brotherus, who risked his life and liberty for the harsh experience he had fought. This diplomatic man tried to help secure political asylum in Europe for more than 2,000 Chilean citizens whose lives were threatened during the brutal coup in 1973. This man faced many challenges, especially in front of this coup d'état, which was brought about by the general and future dictator Augusto Pinochet.
