How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom follows Ted Mosby and his group of friends in Manhattan. As a framing device, Ted, in the year 2030, recounts to his son and daughter the events that led him to meeting their mother. Ted convinces Victoria to take a brief detour before they leave together after she leaves her fiancé at the altar, and Barney';;s engagement to Quinn may be short-lived after she finds about his past relationship with Robin.

While her [The notorious mother] identity still remains a mystery, I liked that the season opener dangled something for the Mother Mystery fans out there.

What I'm looking forward to this season (and next, if need be) isn't the fairy-tale ending, but the final transformations that take place when leaving those illusions behind.
