The second season presents a series of exciting new events where Hanna threw a wonderful party with her new colleague Elijah, but it is difficult to move forward when she continues to play the role of nurse with Adam. Marnie receives bad news at work and a visit from her mother. Shoshanna avoids Ray at the concert; and the impromptu return of Jessa returns from her honeymoon.

Girls isn't consistent or perfect: Sometimes it's distractingly disorganized and frankly, a bit full of itself. Other times, it's euphoric fun.

I really need to keep up with my recommended dosages. Still haven't gotten my flu shot for the virus that is ravaging the country. And I never drank the Kool-Aid that has made every TV critic in America fall madly, deeply in love with HBO's Girls.

When I see the second season of Girls playing its scene of post-collegiate train wreck in slow motion, I am eager to hurry up and wait.
