The drama series revolves around the life of a young teenager living in South Florida. He is a teenager named David, who lives in the poverty line and attends a magnetic school for academically gifted youth. David tries to reach his desired dream through that school he attends. David is played by newcomer Akeley McDowell living between two different worlds as he travels between the streets he raised and the school he continues to attend to change his life.
