June 21, 2007
Brothers and Sisters has the promise to hook viewers with its mix of soapy storylines and sharp language.
September 24, 2006
An unwieldy mess.
December 27, 2006
Brothers is still in search of an identity. Its issues are rather antiquated, and any show that mentions the phrase ''pension fund,'' much less relies on it for a major plot point, should have its dramatic license revoked.
May 23, 2007
Despite my various criticisms, I give it two thumbs up -- and I only harp on it because I know it can do better. Well, except for the acting, which doesn't get much better than this.

One of the executive producers here is playwright Jon Robin Baitz, and TV is smarter just because he's watching it, let alone making it.
September 22, 2006
This is a textured, well-executed, serious-minded serial that builds nicely over Sunday's first hour.
September 24, 2006
The show wants to mix in big themes (politics, money) with a family soap opera, but it just feels bloated and vague.

File this under "We'll See."
September 24, 2006
Bottom line: Like the actors. Don't like the show.
September 24, 2006
It strains to show the strains of the wealthy Walker family of California, and my eyes strained to stay open.
