"Season 4" does little to disappoint and in fact starts the show off on much stronger footing than the first couple episodes of season 3.

One of the small miracles about 30 Rock' is that the writers can break out such meta-moments without popping the show's fictional-story bubble.

30 Rock, meanwhile, finished an uneven but mostly rewarding fourth season by throwing itself wholeheartedly into romantic dilemmas.
