Just another weak vehicle for Fraser.

Decent enough entertainment as written, though many will regret the movie's eleventh-hour detour into pieties.

[Whenever] Hurley disappears, and so does much of the film's energy.

This is about as simple and uncomplicated you can get, but it isn't trying to do anything beyond providing some quick and easy laughs in a refreshingly heavenly comedy.

Hurley is great fun to watch, a Faustian powerhouse of curves, smoky eyes and big hair who sounds exactly like Jackie Collins doing an imitation of Madonna's pan-European accent. It's creepy, but effective.

The lavish scenes and gaudy effects can't compensate for the lack of genuine wit.
October 01, 2010
Charming Fraser Faustian tale with lots of sexual innuendo.
January 01, 2000
So over the top you'll either enjoy it or be bothered and bewildered by it.
January 01, 2000
A comedy that is weak even by today's humble standards, and pitiful when measured against the Cook-Moore version.
January 01, 2000
By the end of the movie, I wasn't so much bedazzled as bedraggled.
January 01, 2000
Watchable as she may be, Hurley is not the Devil for this movie.
January 01, 2000
There's no real dazzle in Bedazzled, though you may be befuddled trying to figure out why anyone was compelled to make the effort.
