The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco isn't as rich and meaningful as its predecessor, but it's evocative and entertaining, with a little murder thrown in for good measure.

This couldn't be further from the bleak, Scandi-style murder mystery. One more reason why it feels old-fashioned, of course, but none the worse for it.

The remarkable tap dance complete, the plot settled into a compelling murder mystery, with a cliffhanger ending that demanded a return visit.

This show feels like it was constructed by dropping thriller cliches into a dustbin and picking them out at random.
