Queer as Folk - Season 1 (UK)
A dramatic TV series tells the story of two gay men, Vince and Stewart. Stewart and Vince live on a mix of sex, drugs and clubs, aged 29. Stuart used to go every time he went out, where he met one night on Nathan, 15. Stewart was able to bring Nathan to his apartment where they made love, as Nathan continued to pursue Stuart on a continuous basis. In the end, Stuart seems not to care much. He thinks of Nathan as one in a long queue of people he knows.

Series one, in all its filthy, glamorous, Mancunian glory, is a knock-out.October 25, 2018
It ultimately succeeded not because it was the first truly prominent gay drama on the air, but because it was a character-driven show that tackled a lot of ground in a very short time.February 22, 2019
A brilliantly brief series that came in, rearranged the furniture, splashed the walls with colour and then f---ed off. Punk TV at its most deliciously boisterous and subversive.December 13, 2018
Like Boys, the new program is replete with dark humor and stinging dialogue. But Queer As Folk is even more revolutionary.October 25, 2018
Davies created a show for gay men to laugh at and feel included by that was daring and addictive enough to ensnare anyone who simply loved good TV.October 25, 2018
One of the astonishing things about Queer As Folk, though, is how unlikeable the characters can be.October 25, 2018
It was steamy to say the least, but the narrative was incredibly compelling and original. Following the lives of three gay men...Queer as Folk was revolutionary television--mainly because the characters felt like real people.
