The pilot has fun with a silly premise, but it's a show that could just as easily run on TBS -- or get old after one episode.

JC is a likeable hero to root for who, despite his cocky exterior, is surprisingly happy to mock his own career in the name of comedy. Ironically, a show about being a washed-up actor could well reignite the popularity of its real-life star.

Are we expected to watch a whole season of episodes featuring Van Damme leaving a movie set to go and fight crime while cracking self-deprecating jokes? I'm not much interested in that.
