What is this I see before me? Complex-character moments? Continued storylines? Logical plot development?... This is what I want from Empire. It wasn't perfect, but hot damn, it was good.
November 12, 2015
"True Love Never" doesn't have what you like about Empire, almost regardless of what that is.
November 12, 2015
In an Empire season that has drawn its strength from the dizzying unpredictability of its moves, Episode 7 felt like a bit of a come down.
November 12, 2015
This week's episode was a little slower paced than usual, but there were the usual twists and turns that can shock the nation.
November 12, 2015
Empire is throwing everything at the wall this season, and it might have better results if it would let its characters breathe a little, and maybe enjoy the moment just a little bit.

November 12, 2015
Events from this episode may payoff next week (Hakeem and Freda rap battle!), but even if they do, it can't erase the strangeness of the Lucious/Mimi plot.
November 12, 2015
For the past few weeks, Empire has really lost the plot.
November 12, 2015
A nice calm before the storm like this was, I think, good for the characters and good for us viewers.
November 13, 2015
It wasn't just weird. It was boring. Be better, Empire.
