The Black Stallion
The movie tells the story of Alec Ramsey, who is shipwrecked on a deserted island with The Black, a wild Arabian stallion whom he befriends. After being rescued, Alec begins training The Black to race against the fastest horses in the world.

The first half of the picture, set on the desert island, is magnificent, lightly invoking the eerie stillness and spiritual ambience of Australian efforts like Walkabout and Picnic at Hanging Rock. The second part is far more conventional.
