Getting bored from his permanent crying, a young teenager girl, Sara, who has a magical world, wishes if any force can take her baby brother away, as her parent leaves him with her, till their coming back, but incidents come to climax when her wish comes true and a king takes her brother away, the thing that makes her struggle against saving him.

Unfortunately, this contemporary (at least, for the era) fairy tale, directed and co-written by Muppets creator Jim Henson, never sets a timely tone beyond the 1980s. It remains disappointingly tethered to yesteryear.
