Guess Whos Coming to Dinner
This film captures the story of Joanna, a girl who is on a different path from her life. Joanna is the beautiful daughter of Crusader publisher Matthew Drayton and his aristocratic wife Christina. One day, Joanna returned home with her new fiance, John Prentice, a black doctor. Perhaps it will be quite shocking as parents are not ready for what is before their eyes now.

Tracy looks tired in this draggy production; he died soon afterward, and it's infuriating to watch him sweat to inject fire into such pap.

There are wonderful performances here, as you'd expect from Hepburn and Tracy, and there's no question that the film is well intentioned. Yet it's also hamfisted and self-congratulatory in the most galling way.
