Ben Finnegan is a treasure hunter who has made it his mission in life to track down the Queen's Dowry But in his single-minded quest to track down this sizable booty, Finn has sadly neglected his marriage to his loving wife Tess. he gets a lead on the treasure but must now contest with Moe Fitch will stop at nothing to beat him to it.

Not only do we not care about the lost treasure, their characters aren't developed enough for us to give a hoot, so nothing about this story strikes gold.

Fool's Gold is a decently charming movie, not a bad couple of hours diversion (once anyway) especially if you come across it while channel surfing, but not much more.
