Couples Retreat
Four couples, all friends, descend on a tropical island resort. Though one husband and wife are there to work on their marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resort's therapy sessions is not optional.

Couples Retreat is a lazy, unimaginative comedy that, with the talent on show, should have been a whole lot more than another boring rom-com to throw on the pile.

The actresses are so wasted, they're even demoted to fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth billing under every one of the dudes. At least the guys aren't having fun either.

This is one of those films, like last week's Whip It and so many others of late, that looks like it was a lot fun to make. It's just not all that much fun to watch.
