Explosives expert Jimmy Dove wants to stop working for the bomb squad to become a teacher. But when his best friend is killed by a bomb, he's suspicious that bomb might have been made by his former friend. He investigates and finds out his nightmare is coming back from the past.

Annoyingly bereft of the whiz-bang action that a movie like this desperately needs. Still, Quaid does a darn good job.
