An Affair to Remember
Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, high-profile types both engaged to be married to other people, meet and fall in love during an ocean voyage. Both agree to reunite at the top of the Empire State Building in six months. But will it happen?

Starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr in the Charles Boyer and Irene Dunne roles, Leo McCarey's remake of his 1937 Love Affair has some touching moments but is not as good as the original movie, which is one of Hollywood's best romantic melodramas.

The original told the same story in 88 minutes that An Affair to Remember takes 119 minutes to cover. There was no need for an extra 31 minutes.
