Susan Ruth is an American actress, comedian, songwriter, podcaster, writer and abstract painter.Ruth began her career as a performing songwriter and quickly began to garner praise and awards in the industry. She has released several critically acclaimed albums, has written songs for artists (Reba McEntire, Lonestar, Erdem Kinay...) and has had her songs placed in film/TV (Road Rules, Real World, Life on the Line...). She studied improv and sketch comedy at The Second City (Hollywood), in the Conservatory Program. She created and hosts the award-winning Hey Human podcast and is an accomplished abstract painter.Ruth is daughter to Dr. Nancy Robkin, an archaeologist, illustrator and editor, and Dr. Maurice Robkin, a scientist and writer.Ruth's third cousins are Academy award-nominated actor Chester Morris (1901 - 1970) and actress Dorothy Lamour (1914 - 1996) and she is the third-generation grandniece of 19th/early-20th-century painter Carl Gutherz (1844 - 1907), considered one of the "fathers of the American Symbolist" movement.
