Sam McGovern, a 22 year old singer songwriter and guitarist from Perth Western Australia was born and raised by a strong combination of music and the ocean. From a young age Sam had either a guitar in hand or a surfboard under his arm, these two hobbies therefore became second nature to him. Spending most of his time travelling around the coast, Sam derives experiences from those moments and en captures thee songs. He approaches songwriting as a way of expressing feelings that come unspoken in his life, when words fail, music speaks. His stories are told through heartfelt and honest lyrics that unravel a deeper meaning. Bursting into the Perth music scene, Sam has been playing and selling out shows all over the state attracting huge audiences. Has has supported the likes of RileY Pearce, Jordy Maxwell, The Money War and played alongside many other well known acts. Sam graduated from the prestigious WAAPA. Sam also appeared as a contestant on Season 11 of "The Voice Australia" in 2022 His Debut single "Grow" was nominated for a WAM (Western Australian Music) Song Of The Year 2021. Hide
