Born in Urmston,Cheshire John grew up in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Having appeared in ITV's Vera in 2018 and 2019 John appeared in his first film role in 2019's Sorry We Missed you.He is represented by the Agency NE1 4TV based in Newcastle Upon Tyne after a 25 year career in the British Armed forces during which he served as a British ArmyCombat Medic during tours of Bosnia and Northern Ireland as well as serving subsequently as a Royal Naval Submariner.
