Nuclear engineer and former rowing coach Jere Jenkins was the Director of Radiation Laboratories at Purdue University, and was responsible for the management and operations of Purdue's nuclear reactor, PUR-1. Mr. Jenkins has done research in nuclear engineering and physics, and has appeared on television news as a consultant on nuclear events such as those that occurred at Fukushima. Mr. Jenkins has a Bachelor's and Masters in Nuclear Engineering, and he is also working on the completion of his PhD in nuclear engineering at Texas A&M University. Hide
