As an Intimacy Coordinator, Jean Franzblau is a liaison between actors, directors and the production to assure that scenes with simulated sex or nudity go as smoothly and safely as possible. Covid-19 adds another layer to this work. Jean is a Certified Contact Tracer and is qualified to work with your production's Covid-19 Officer.For productions that have never worked with an Intimacy Coordinator, Jean is happy to be the first. Given that the role is relatively new, she understands that it can take time to build trust and rapport. Jean is a skilled facilitator with deep respect for filmmaking and filmmakers.Jean was in the first cohort to become certified by Amanda Blumenthal and Intimacy Professionals Association. She has a corporate training background and skills in compassionate communication and conflict resolution. Jean is a sex educator and consent expert with experience in acting, casting, and production. She assures that actors feel comfortable and that protocols such as closed set and SAG-AFTRA nudity guidelines are followed. Jean can provide trauma informed coaching to navigate tricky emotional territory. She can serve as an LGBTQIA ally on the set and assist with movement choreography as needed. Hide
