Gilluis Fernando Pérez was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He is half Dominican and Puerto Rican. Pérez is a New York based actor. He appeared in Award-winning films as Marcos in Revolt, Rene in Sin Filo and as Guillo in the The Least Worst Man which premiered at The Film Society of Lincoln Center. He is completing a supporting role in the upcoming Netflix TV Series El Ganador/The Winner. He has completed role in the upcoming Sony Pirctures TV series The Oath for Crackle, a lead role in the film Juan Y Julia and roles in the New York Off-Broadway plays Pasadía Familiar at the Clemente Soto Vélez Theater & Habitat. Before turning his attention to acting, Gilluis was an Architecture student. He began his acting work in Telemundo TV series Zona Y and with a theater production of Luis Rafael Sánchez's Award-winning play, La Pasión Según Antígona Pérez in Puerto Rico. Since then he's worked on the Puerto Rican stage, in Regional Theaters and New York stage. Perez was chosen to be part of The Actors Studio Drama School in New York City, which is the only MFA program officially sanctioned and supervised by the legendary Actors Studio, Including the presidents and artistic directors Ellen Burstyn, Al Pacino and Harvey Keitel. Only chooses less than 30 aspiring actors annually from over the world to be trained and follow Hollywood legend's footsteps like Paul Newman, Marlon Brando, Bradley Cooper, Melissa Leo, Alec Baldwin, Ellen Burstyn and many more.
