Born in Baltimore, Maryland he was raised by two parents and has one sister. He attended Loyola Blakefield, a Catholic, college preparatory school. Larkins would then attend U. of Maryland Eastern Shore on an athletic scholarship where he studied Rehabilitation Counseling as a major.Post graduating college, Larkins entered the field of entertainment as a songwriter & producer of music. He would later enter the world of television / film appearing on HBO's The Wire & Touchstone's Annapolis.
